Civic Education

The programme provides training and awareness-raising on the duties and rights of individuals in accordance with international, regional and national laws. The focus is on civil, political rights and economic and socio-cultural rights.

Demobilisation & Deradicalization

The programme is designed in collaboration with psychologists and community developers to facilitate the process of de-radicalisation and demobilization, with the objective of reforming children and youth involved in criminal gangs.

Guidance and Counseling

The Child and Youth Protection from Crime and Drug Abuse Program ensures a smooth transition period for all reforming individuals. This is implemented through guidance and counseling sessions and group support engagement. The programme also runs women support groups to assist women and refugees who have experienced traumatic situations. It also implements a general community campaign against drug abuse, focusing on counter measures to reduce the involvement of children and youth in the proliferation and abuse of drugs.

Refugee Integration Support

In acknowledgement of the multifaceted reasons that prompt individuals to seek refuge beyond their countries of origin, the Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons Empowerment Program (RIDE) endeavors to facilitate the social integration of refugees in Kenya in accordance with the internationally, regionally and nationally established standards to preserve and protect the dignity of those seeking refuge.
